Come visit my page and see some cool stuff I programmed for! (also check out the GAMED collection I host that holds a lot more games that other friends made!)
Rocket Theater (Demo Now Available)
Imagine a Tony Hawk combo scoring game, but with fast paced rocket jumping action! This is my latest project, and I've still been adding to it. There are currently 2 different working characters with unique abilities, 2 completed maps, and plenty of awesome tricks! Stay tuned for more updates on my ChromeWing YouTube channel!
Early Footage Trailer (Rocket Acrobat was a working title)
Generantis
A 2D Sidescrolling shooter with roguelite and Path of Exile elements. 3 years of on and off development in Java!
Lunar Festival (Mobile Mesh Games)
This is a game that won the Mobile Mesh Games Arcade Challenge in Whitewater! Drag back your slingshot to shoot at the lantern to keep it up in the air, and try to get as high as you can! Mobile Mesh Games reworked some elements of the game to give it some better mechanics, like having little lanterns fly up for you to earn more shots, or fireworks to give your lantern a big boost! You can play the game for free on the Google Play Store.
Projects and hobbies:
ChromeWing (2D Java version) |
3D Snake |
I've made many remakes of this game. "ChromeWing" is named after my online alias, starring these little flying super soldiers wearing chromewing suits, which allow them to fly around in the sky like a bird. Each chromewing suit is geared with a machine gun and missile launcher. The machine gun is used to fire at enemies or hostile missiles. Each hit will increase your stock points by 1. After gaining enough stock points, you can fire your own missiles, or save up even more for a missile cluster that splits into more missiles when approaching the enemy! The 2 teams, red and blue, fight in the sky for a set time period, with the background showcasing a neat day/night cycle. At the end of the battle, the team with the most points wins.
|
This is my first Unity 3D game, and it's actually one of my favorites. When the snake moves around in the 3D cubic matrix, the camera smoothly turns to help the player visualize the playing field. The "red apple" has tracers projected out on all 6 sides to help the player spot the apple.

Hyper-Bowl-E |
ThunderBallz |
Travel across a randomly generated bowling alley, avoiding obstacles that slow you down, hitting booster pads to speed you up, and jumping to the green cubes to add more pins at the end. When you finally reach the pins, try to gain a massive score! This game was inspired by the old PC game, HyperBowl.
|
ThunderBallz was a final project for a college Unity Studio class that went to the MAGD (Media Arts & Game Development) Expo on campus. It's a 2 player duel inspired by Katamari. Roll up a ball of objects from a junkyard in your thunderball to gain critical mass. Some of the objects that get rolled up can be used as weapons; the sword item attaches to your ball and deals damage when in contact with your opponent's ball. The cannons shoot projectiles towards the direction your camera is facing. Try to get the bigger ball in the time limit, or go rogue and try to destroy your opponent's ball before they have a chance! If your ball is bigger enough, you can even humiliate your rival by rolling them up entirely!

Game Jam Games:
War of the Favorite Color |
Trixel |
My first game jam game... A top down bullet hell shooter where every kill and shot splats color on the grid floor below. Try to get the most of your team's favorite color on the ground by the end of the game to win!
|
Inspired by Tetris and triangles (triangles was the theme of the game jam), I programmed a triangle style block falling puzzle game with my handmade engine that I designed for Generantis. The art was done by 3 other people, who also did an excellent job because we won the event as judged by representatives from Filament Games!

Honey Hoodlum |
The Orlov Brothers |
An entry for Indie Speed Run made by me and a friend of mine (who's working on Generantis too). Fly your honeybee around in a procedurally generated hive, collecting honey and placing it into 4 different kinds of slots on the ground to improve your different stats. Once you get strong enough, you can fight the 4 bosses on the edge of the map! It didn't win the contest, but we were proud of this game!
|
I programmed a game jam game with another person who did the art. It's an arcade style game where the 3 Orlov brothers are Russian acrobats that put on a show. Their show consists of jumping and shooting tethers from each other to the randomly placed hooks in the sky. Collect coins to improve your score, dodge crates and try to maintain a high speed. Try to last as long as you can to avoid having the night catch up to you, ending the show!

This Raid is Boss! |
RGB Hero |
Me and some friends made this game for the Hackathon event on the University campus. You are a guild leader in a fictional MMORPG that is hiring random players to join you in your raids. Your characters can be selected and dragged around like in an RTS, with lasers shooting from all the players to the monsters in the raid. Strategically place your characters around quickly (tank rotation!) to avoid losing players and defeating the boss!
|
I did the programming for this game jam's roguelike. You can switch between red, green and blue heroes to also change the loot on the ground. Change to your strongest weapon for the current situation as you face loads of monsters in each randomly generated dungeon!

Sol & Luna |
Corpse Raid |
Meet Sol, a brave paladin of the day, and Luna, a cunning thief of the night, in this 2 player coop puzzle platformer I programmed for with another friend of mine. Sol and Luna are on two vertically opposite sides of the map, and by pressing space the two heroes can switch places. Luna can jump higher and steal the shadows off monsters, but can't attack. Sol can kill enemies that drop life orbs that Luna can pick up. Grab keys in hard to reach places to open doors and reach the end. The sonnet was written by another member who helped us in the game jam.

Ever wondered how far you can take necromancy in games such as Diablo II? We sure did. In Corpse Raid, kill enemies in this top down bullet hell shooter to gain them as your followers. Amass an army of minions by continually killing more and more enemies. Defeat the 4 bosses at the edge of the map (inspired by Honey Hoodlum). Each boss when killed gives you a new ability to sacrifice a minion to do a special attack. I did the programming and the art and music were done by two other members at this second Hackathon.
